Lifestyle Financial Planning.
The Financial Planning Process.
Lifestyle Financial Planning is all about you, it is about adding value, it has to be about transparency and it has to be about results. We use a six step process that gives direction and meaning to your financial decisions. It allows you to understand how each financial review decision you make affects other areas of your life. By viewing each financial decision as part of a whole, you can consider its short and long-term effects on your life goals. You can also adapt more easily to life changes and feel more secure that your goals are on track.
Step 1: Our Initial Meeting
We believe that we have no right to talk about your money until we get to know you, so our first meeting is a chance for us to get to know each other. For us to really listen to you and find out all about you, where you are now, how you got here and what your aspirations are for the future and to see if we can actually be of any benefit to you.
Step 2: Information Gathering
At this stage we mutually define your personal and financial goals and the time frames in which you wish to achieve them. This can often be the most difficult part of the process for you as you must begin with a reality check to find out your financial situation and the resources you have to help you achieve your goals. The more information at this point the better.
Step 3: Situation Analysis
At this point having gathered and analysed all your relevant information, we construct an outline plan with suitable recommendations of what you must do to meet your goals.
Step 4: Presenting Your Plan
At this stage of the process we present your outline plan and offer the recommendations that address your goals based on the information you provided. We then together discuss the recommendations so you fully understand them and can make informed decisions. We listen to any concerns or queries you have and mutually agree on any revisions that may be needed to make your plan specific to your goals.
Step 5: Implementation
Once you have agreed on the final structure of your plan, in order for it to work any recommendations need to be implemented. We will carry out the recommendations on your instruction or serve as your coach, coordinating the implementation with you and any other professionals if required.
Step 6: Monitoring Your Plan
Once your plan has been implemented an important part of the process is to meet at regular intervals either annually or other agreed periods to review the progress of your plan. As we all know life never goes in a straight line and changes happen regularly, therefore the reviews are essential in order to make adjustments to your plan to ensure that you meet your goals.
